What is GPRS/GSM Alarm System?
What is GPRS Alarm?
GPRS is a mobile data transmission technology that performs switched data exchange over the network in mobile networks such as mobile phones. GPRS is formed from the initials of the English General Packet Radio Service. It allows portable devices such as mobile phones to connect to the internet. We need 1 sim card in GPRS alarm.
The lines used in the GPRS Alarm system are called M2M Lines, M2m Lines are the name given to data internet lines with 50MB, 100MB, 500MB and 1GB packages. This line does not support talking, it only provides internet. It is also used in lines with internet, talking and sms packages in the Gprs Alarm panel. However, since the monthly fees of these lines are expensive, we recommend our customers to get an M2M line. With the Gprs feature, your alarm panel instantly sends a signal to the alarm monitoring center, you can send a test signal every 1 minute instead of a test signal once a day like other pstn alarm panels. We can say that this is the leading feature of the Gprs alarm alarm compared to normal PSTN or GSM alarms.
With our GPS alarm panel, you can listen to the environment where the alarm panel is located remotely and make a call back. For this, you need to use lines with normal call and internet packages instead of M2M lines.
All commands made in the GPRS Alarm system are made online. All settings and queries made about the device are fast and real-time as if you were making them in front of the device. You can see whether the settings are made or not and your queries at the same time. All programming can be done via mobile phone, you do not need the keypad while you are in front of the panel.
With the application of Opax Grps alarm panel, our dealers who install you can provide you with all your technical needs without coming to your workplace or home when you share your alarm panel with your remote mobile application without charging you any extra fee. All the operations to be done at the panel can be done remotely with the opax application, with this feature, all the requests of our customers can be done remotely.
What is GSM Alarm?
GSM alarm is a system where SIM cards with voice and SMS features are used in the alarm panel. The SIM card used in GSM alarm uses both voice calls and SMS features. However, control is done with SMS in GSM alarm. In GSM alarm, you can listen to the environment where the panel is located and have a conversation, and you can also use the panel as a mobile phone.
What is GPRS/GSM Alarm?
If your Alarm Panel supports GPRS/GSM feature, you can query and program your alarm panel via both internet (M2M Line) and GSM line (Voice, SMS) via SMS. It means that it supports both M2M line and SIM card with normal voice, internet and SMS package.
Why should I choose GPRS Alarm?
In GPRS supported alarm panel, your panel setup, opening process, programming and all settings of the device can be done online in real time. In GSM Alarm panel, commands are sent as SMS. In this way, it is realized with a delay of 5-6 seconds, first the command is sent and then the SMS response indicating that the command is realized comes. In GPRS, you see in real time. However, when there is a normal voice line used in GSM panel, listening to the environment, and talking to the environment where the alarm panel is located, we cannot realize this feature in GPRS M2M line. While the monthly tariff fees of Normal Voice Lines are between 35-60 TL, the monthly tariff fees of M2M lines are between 7-10 TL.
Since OPAX-2647 Alarm Panel has both GPRS and GSM features, you do not need to choose any feature. You can use your alarm panel via GPRS by purchasing an M2M line, or you can use your GSM alarm panel via Voice or SMS commands by purchasing a Normal Voice Line.
Lan Network Feature (Network Input is available on 2747 Panel)
With Lan Network Internet Module, it connects our Alarm Panel to the Internet with Ethernet input on the Panel. In case our customers do not buy a SIM card, you can do all the features you would do with the Internet module on the panel when the same SIM card is inserted. You can manage our panel as you wish with our Opax alarm application on your mobile phone. In addition, our panel can be connected to the Alarm monitoring center with a SIM card, and it can also be connected to the alarm monitoring center with a Lan network input. You can send a signal to the alarm panel at any minute you want. Our panel supports all intelligence centers.
Can Lan Module and SIM Card Work at the Same Time?
In these cases, our panel works primarily from the SIM card, while the Lan module works in a backup state. You can also set this preference as first Lan, then Gprs (Sim card). Whenever the internet is cut off on your SIM card or you forget to pay the bill, the system automatically connects to the internet via the Lan Network module. There are also great advantages to having both installed at the same time. We do not recommend that you connect only to the Network input communication center for security reasons, as when the electricity is cut off, it cannot send a signal to the information center, and you cannot manage your alarm panel via the mobile application. However, if you have a power source or generator, you do not need to worry.
